On 24 June (Brazil Time), China General Nuclear Power Corporation (“CGN”) and Enel entered into a closing confirmation Letter regarding CGN's acquisition of equity in two photoelectric projects and a wind energy project-related company, and established CGN Brazil Energy Holding Co., Ltd.
CGN is China’s largest nuclear power operator and the third largest in the world with significant international influence. It has made outstanding achievements under the B&R Initiative, especially in the areas of nuclear power, nuclear fuel and new energy. The completion of this project marks CGN's successful access to South American clean energy market and a milestone in the investment cooperation in new energy between China and Brazil.
